AUTOMATION ENGINEER  (Junior or Entry level) – August  22

This is a Houston, TX based full time role in the field of instrumentation, automation and controls engineering. Scope of work to include control system design, programming, and support of field installation. Candidate must be knowledgeable with principles of control system design and instrument or electrical engineering.

Responsibilities and Requirements:

  • Ability to read P&IDs and other engineering documents.
  • Ability to specify process instrumentation and recommend control systems designs.
  • Work both independently and alongside an engineering team to develop both high level and detailed design of industrial control systems including.
  • Report job activity and maintain detailed logs about work activities, reporting to project managers and executive management.
  • Ability to meet deadlines working on multiple projects and clients with supervision and taking some responsibility for planning and prioritizing tasks.
  • Maintain a high standard of work performance and ensuring that all done is in accordance with the drafting standards of the company and client.
  • Solid communications skills and ability to interreact direct with clients, suppliers and upper management.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Associates and Bachelor’s Degree / Technical Degree preferred, namely in Engineering. Equivalent work experience will also be considered.
  • 1+ years’ experience in automation design and or programming.
  • Ability to read and understand: P&IDs, Motor Schematics, control, narratives, I&E plans.

Physical Expectations:

  • Must be able to lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand, kneel, and walk for long periods of time
  • Must pass background check and be able to pass both a pre-employment & random drug test(s)
  • Must be able to travel up to 25%, including overnight travel to various locations & customer sites to provide service based on business needs
  • Duties performed indoors & outdoors with exposure to weather and elements.

PIPELINE DESIGNER (Fort Worth, TX) – July 22

Candidate must have experience using AutoCAD. This is a Fort Worth, TX based full time role in the field of onshore pipelines.  Candidate must be knowledgeable across multiple design/CAD applications.

Ability to travel to prepare as-built drawings a major plus.

Responsibilities and Requirements:

  • Possesses minimum 2 years experience.
  • Receive survey data to develop pipeline alignment sheets and plats.
  • Work both independently and alongside engineering team to develop both high level and detailed design.
  • Demonstrate expertise in various design technologies; AutoCAD (2D), CADworxs, MS Visio.  Ability to create DWF and PDF files from work product.
  • Report job activity and maintain detailed logs about work activities.
  • Demonstrate ability to maintain project directories and version control.
  • Ability to meet deadlines working on multiple projects and clients with minimum supervision and taking some responsibility for planning and prioritizing tasks.
  • Maintain a high standard of work performance and ensuring that all is done in accordance with the drafting standards of the company and client.
  • Ability to create and manipulate MS Excel files.
  • Solid communications skills and ability to interreact direct with clients and upper management.

Preferred Education and Experience:

AUTOMATION DESIGNER  July 2022

We are interested in hiring a new graduated engineer or an engineer with 2 years of actual direct experience in Automation and I&E design using AutoCAD. This is a Houston, TX based full time role in the field of instrumentation, automation and controls design. Scope of work to include control system design, field wiring, and other designs typical of the field.  Candidate must be knowledgeable across multiple design/CAD applications and familiar with principles of control system design and instrument engineering.

Ability to travel to field locations and perform design walk downs and as-built drawings a major plus.

Responsibilities and Requirements:

  • Work both independently and alongside engineering team to develop both high level and detailed design of industrial electrical systems including: power and signal distribution, PLC / DCS control cabinets, instrumentation, installation details, cable and conduit routing, marshalling cabinets.
  • Demonstrate expertise in various design technologies; AutoCAD (2D), CADworxs, MS Visio.  Ability to create DWF and PDF files from work product.
  • Report job activity and maintain detailed logs about work activities.
  • Demonstrate ability to maintain project directories and version control.
  • Ability to meet deadlines working on multiple projects and clients with minimum supervision and taking some responsibility for planning and prioritizing tasks.
