Immediate Opportunities


Candidate must have direct experience in Automation and I&E design using AutoCAD. This is a Houston, TX based full time role in the field of instrumentation, automation and controls design. Scope of work to include control system design, field wiring, and other designs typical of the field.  Candidate must be knowledgeable across multiple design/CAD applications and familiar with principles of control system design and instrument engineering.

Ability to travel to field locations and perform design walk downs and as-built drawings a major plus.

Responsibilities and Requirements:

  • Possesses minimum 2 years’ experience in Automation and I&E design.
  • Work both independently and alongside engineering team to develop both high level and detailed design of industrial electrical systems including: power and signal distribution, PLC / DCS control cabinets, instrumentation, installation details, cable and conduit routing, marshalling cabinets.
  • Demonstrate expertise in various design technologies; AutoCAD (2D), CADworxs, MS Visio.  Ability to create DWF and PDF files from work product.
  • Report job activity and maintain detailed logs about work activities.
  • Demonstrate ability to maintain project directories and version control.
  • Ability to meet deadlines working on multiple projects and clients with minimum supervision and taking some responsibility for planning and prioritizing tasks.
  • Maintain a high standard of work performance and ensuring that all done is in accordance with the drafting standards of the company and client.
  • Ability to create and manipulate MS Excel files.
  • Solid communications skills and ability to interact direct with clients, suppliers and upper management.
  • Ability to travel to field locations and perform design walk downs and as-built drawings a major plus.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Associates and Bachelor’s Degree/Technical Degree preferred, namely in Engineering design. Equivalent work experience will also be considered.
  • 2+ years’ experience in automation design.
  • Ability to read and understand: P&IDs, Motor Schematics, control narratives, I&E plans.

Physical Expectations:

  • Must be able to lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand, kneel, and walk for long periods of time
  • Must pass background check and be able to pass both a pre-employment & random drug test(s)
  • Must be able to travel up to 20%, including overnight travel to various locations & customer sites to provide service based on business needs
  • Duties may be performed indoors & outdoors with exposure to weather and elements.

1) Two (2) Subsea / Offshore Engineers to work on planning and executing jumper & flying leads installations working offshore / onshore on rotation for a major client. – (May 22)

  • There may be an occasional commissioning support task plan required.  Need someone that can work independently on the task plans and equipment lists.
  • These engineers would do the office work, then mobilize the vessel in Louisiana and go offshore as the field engineer on the installation.
  • These (2) engineers would be full time through mid-October 2022.
  • 5 – 10 year experience.

2) Subsea / Offshore – UMBILICAL Engineer. (May 2022)

  • This project is umbilical installation heavy, reconfiguring an entire field.
  • Work includes Offshore West Africa after the planning phase to assist with offshore works.
  • Offshore Execution Duration is a long enough duration we need two rotations of personnel.
  • 1st Offshore Rotation: The Lead Engineer will take part of the rotation Scheduled for early August, but candidate will to work in office prior to going offshore work to get up to speed.
  • 5 – 10 years experience.
