This is a Fort Worth, TX based position. Candidate must have direct experience in Pipeline and associated Process Facilities design using AutoCAD / CADWorx3D. This is a Fort Worth, TX based full-time role in the field of onshore pipelines. Candidate must be knowledgeable across multiple design/CAD applications.
Ability to travel to prepare as-built drawings a major plus.
Responsibilities and Requirements:
· Possesses minimum 10 years’ direct facility piping experience.
· Ability to coordinate, communicate, and direct design staff.
· Be able to effectively communicate with Engineering Staff and Management regarding technical information needs, resources and schedule.
· Effectively communicate with all design disciplines inclusive of Civil, Structural, Electrical, Instruments and Controls.
· Communicate and coordinate with Design Staff at other PERC office locations.
· Ability to layout 3-D facility piping systems including pipe racks, valves, fittings, vessels, etc.
· Generate 3D piping models utilizing CADWorx plant, latest version.
· Generate equipment models utilizing CADWorx Equipment.
· Familiarity with creating CADWorx 3D Spec files as needed for individual client requirements and/or special needs.
· Generate bill of materials (BOM’s) from 3D models and assist process team in compiling project deliverables.
· Prepare plans, sections, details, and Isometric view drawings. Assess and provide sufficient product views and details to communicate information and data needed for fabrication. Experience with implementing Xref drawing files. Work both independently and alongside engineering team to develop both high level and detailed design.
· Report job activity and maintain detailed logs about work activities.
· Demonstrate ability to maintain project directories and version control.
· Ability to meet deadlines working on multiple projects and clients with minimum supervision and taking some responsibility for planning and prioritizing tasks.
· Maintain a high standard of work performance and ensure all is done in accordance with the drafting standards of the company and client.
· Ability to create and manipulate MS Excel files.
· Solid communications skills and ability to interreact directly with clients and upper management.
Preferred Education and Experience:
· Associates and Bachelor’s Degree/Technical Degree preferred, namely in Engineering design. Equivalent work experience will also be considered.
· A minimum of 10 years of experience in the midstream oil & gas sector.
· Ability to read, understand and generate: P&IDs, PFDs, Isometric Drawings and Plans/Section Drawings.
