This is a Fort Worth, TX based full-time position for a Senior Automation Engineer / Systems Integrator and is a hands-on role in instrumentation, automation, and controls engineering. You will design, program, integrate, and support industrial control systems—spanning PLC, DCS, HMI, and SCADA platforms—while supporting field installation and working closely with clients, suppliers, and cross-functional teams. The position requires both high-level architecture work and detailed design, with the ability to lead project teams or lead yourself on complex technical efforts.
Essential Functions
- Own control system lifecycle activities including control system design, programming, integration, testing, and field installation support for PLC, DCS, HMI, and SCADA applications.
- Develop both high-level architectures and detailed designs of industrial control systems.
- Specify and recommend process instrumentation and control system components.
- Interpret and develop engineering documentation including P&IDs, motor schematics, control narratives, and I&E plans.
- Report job activity and maintain meticulous logs and documentation; provide regular status updates to project managers and executive management.
- Identify opportunities to improve work products, standards, and team practices; help maintain drafting/engineering standards for the company and client.
- Plan and prioritize tasks across multiple concurrent projects and clients; consistently meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Interface directly with clients, suppliers, and upper management; present technical options and recommendations clearly.
- Mentor peers and contribute to templates, checklists, and quality reviews to raise team performance.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- 7+ years’ experience in automation design and/or programming across PLC, DCS, HMI, and SCADA applications (industrial environments).
- Proven ability to read and create/modify P&IDs, motor schematics, control narratives, and I&E plans.
- Demonstrated ability to lead project teams or lead self on complex technical efforts.
- Strong communication skills and professionalism; able to work independently and collaboratively while interacting directly with clients and suppliers.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and disciplined about documentation and standards compliance.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Able to stand, kneel, and walk for extended periods.
- Duties performed indoors and outdoors with exposure to weather and elements.
- Must pass background check and pre-employment/random drug testing.

Education
- Minimum Required: Associate or bachelor’s degree (technical/engineering discipline preferred); equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
