Job Summary
This is a Houston, Texas based full-time position. The Onshore Pipeline Engineer will provide engineering support related to onshore pipeline and the related facilities engineering and design review, conduct engineering calculations, studies and reports. Will also be responsible for the technical content, quality of the work, and adherence to project schedules.
Essential Functions
The candidate needs to be detailed oriented to work on engineering documents required for pipeline and the facilities associated with pipeline like pig traps, main line valves, meter stations, compression/pumps and demonstrate knowledge preparing data sheets, and comply with the following:
- Knowledge of API-1102, API RP 1110, API RP 1117, 49 CFR 192 and 195 and main engineering international standard used in the oil, oil products, natural gas and liquids of natural gas.
- Review P&IDs, mechanical details, plot plans, plan views, isos, BOMs for facilities like compressor stations, metering facilities, pump stations.
- Review P&IDs, mechanical details, Alignment sheets, HDD/Bore details, BOMs for Pipeline, gathering systems, encroachments, and pipeline relocations.
- Help estimating man hours needed for project proposals
- Help coordinating project schedules and documents control and the provision of technical clarifications.
- Ensure projects are completed on time and on budget, plus ensuring the quality of the work is of the highest standards.
- Other responsibilities include good communication skills with the rest of the team, willing to share knowledge and to learn new processes the company may have.

- Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical, Mechanical or Civil Engineering with 2+ years of relevant onshore pipeline experience with engineering consulting firms.
Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications:
- 2 Years minimum of relevant onshore pipeline experience with engineering consulting firms.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- 2 Years– Experience in Field or similar manufacturing environment
- 2 Years – Experience working in Position
- 2 Years – Experience managing people/projects
- Travel required could be about 10% percentage of time.
- Must be Able to Work for any US Employer.
Education
- Minimum Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in chemical, civil or mechanical or other related field and 2 years of experience.
- Preferred:
- Bachelor's Degree in chemical, civil or mechanical or other related field with 5-year experience.
Certification/License:
- Required: N/A
- Preferred: PE

- Preferred: Native or Bilingual Proficiency
