Job Location: Houston, TX or Lafayette, LA
We are currently seeking an Electrical Engineer with a minimum 2-5 years of experience in Upstream and Midstream Oil and Gas to join our team in Lafayette, LA or Houston, TX. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing power systems that meet the specific needs of our clients in the oil and gas industry.
Requirements:
- 2-5 years of experience in Upstream/Midstream oil and gas power system design
- Experience with ETAP or SKM preferred
- EIT or PE license preferred
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop power systems for Upstream/Midstream oil and gas facilities
- Conduct alternative power source analysis
- Perform protective device coordination
- Conduct short circuit analysis
- Conduct load flow, transient, and stability analysis
- Perform ARC flash analysis and mitigation
- Design DC systems and battery plants
- Develop conceptual designs and detailed engineering plans
- Implement grounding and lightning protection
- Classify hazardous areas per API RP500
- Design lighting and motor controls
- Prepare procurement and bid packages
- Coordinate utility services
- Design and develop subsea power transmission systems
