Job Location: Lafayette, LA
Job Summary
This is a Lafayette, LA-based, full-time position for the engineering of oil and gas production facilities, pipelines, and related infrastructure. The duties of this role include the electrical design of equipment related to various upstream and midstream facilities for onshore and offshore projects. The candidate must possess some knowledge of relevant NEC and API codes, as well as familiarity with Electrical and Instrumentation Design.
Essential Functions
- Possesses a minimum of 2 years of experience in the project and detailed design of upstream and/or midstream-related facilities.
- Ability to read and interpret Electrical and Instrumentation interfaces with P&IDs and other engineering documents.
- Ability to understand the basics of instrumentation and interface with control systems engineers.
- Work both independently and alongside an engineering team to develop high-level and detailed designs of Electrical and Instrumentation systems.
- Ability to interface with other disciplines on a multi-disciplinary team (structural, mechanical, and/or instrumentation).
- Report job activity and maintain detailed logs of work activities, reporting to project managers and executive management.
- Identify opportunities for improvement in work products and standards.
- Ability to meet deadlines while working on multiple projects and clients, with supervision and some responsibility for planning and prioritizing tasks.
- Maintain a high standard of work performance, ensuring all work is completed in accordance with company and client standards.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact directly with Lead Engineers and upper management.

Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in project and detailed engineering of upstream and/or midstream-related facilities.
- Associate degree in Computer-Aided Design, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of design experience preferred.
- Familiarity with industry codes and standards.
- Knowledge of standard codes such as NEC, API 500, etc.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD or similar programs.
- 3D modeling experience is a plus but not required.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Travel is not regularly required for this position; however, some site visits and periodic travel may be necessary as project demands arise.
- Must be Able to Work for any US Employer.
