Position: Onshore Piping Designer (CAD Designer)

Job Summary

This is a Houston, Texas based full-time position. The Piping Designer will develop pipeline and facilities design drawings using CAD creating piping and sections details, support the development of P&IDs, PFDs, bill of materials (BOM), Solid Works and Civil 3D software, and update drawings per engineering review. Will also be responsible for the technical content, quality of the work, and adherence to project schedules.

Essential Functions

The candidate needs to be detailed oriented to work on engineering drawings required for pipeline and the facilities associated with pipeline like pig traps, main line valves, meter stations, compression/pumps and demonstrate knowledge preparing bill of materials, data sheets, and comply with the following:

• Design and develop CAD drawings like Isometrics, sections details and views, plot plans, BOMs for pipeline facilities like pig traps, main line valves, metering facilities, etc.
• Support pipeline detail drawings like Alignment sheets, HDD/Bore details, BOMs for Pipeline, gathering systems, encroachments, and pipeline relocations.
• Ensure projects are completed on time and on budget, plus ensuring the quality of the work is of the highest standards.
• Other responsibilities include good communication skills with the rest of the team, willing to share knowledge and to learn new processes the company may have.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications:
• 10+ Years minimum of relevant onshore pipeline experience with engineering consulting firms.
  
  
• Preferred Qualifications:
• 10+ Years– Experience in Field or similar manufacturing environment
• 6 Years – Experience working in Position           
• 0 Years – Experience managing people/projects

• Travel required could be about 10% percentage of time.
• Must be Able to Work for any US Employer.

Education

• Minimum Required: 
• Associate's Degree in mechanical with 10 years of experience.
• Preferred: 
• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or other related field with 8-year experience.
