Design Intern

This is a Houston, TX based internship in the field of Oil & Gas engineering and design. Candidates will spend time embedded in various company design departments. Candidates must be in pursuit of a degree or formal training in drafting and design.  Currently recruiting interns for the Summer of 2026. 

Responsibilities and Requirements: 

• Work alongside an engineering and design team to develop detailed design of engineering drawings utilizing AutoCad. 

• Report job activity and maintain detailed logs about work activities, reporting to project managers and executive management. 

• Maintain a high standard of work performance and ensure that all done is in accordance with standards of the company and client. 

• Solid communications skills and ability to interact directly with employees and management. 

Preferred Education and Experience: 

• Actively enrolled in Drafting and Design degree program 

• Possesses minimum 1 (one) years’ experience in pursuit of associates degree.   

• Ability to use Microsoft office products, including Outlook, Teams, and Excel. 

• Preferred specializations: Mechanical, Piping, Electrical, Instrumentation, Structural, Civil, Oil, Energy, and Petrochemical 

Physical Expectations: 

• Must be able to work 30+ hours per week during summer of 2026.  Minimum of 10 weeks. Able to start no later than June 8, 2026. 

• Relocation expenses are not covered. 

• Must be able to lift objects weighing up to 50lbs 

• Must be able to stand, kneel, and walk for long periods of time 

• Must pass background check and be able to pass both a pre-employment & random drug test(s)
