5+ Years experience

Site Project Engineer – PERC Engineering LLC has openings for two or three Site Project Engineers with a minimum 5 years of relevant experience to assist with various capital projects at a large Midstream Facility in the Baytown / Mont Belvieu area.  Positions duties include providing onsite Engineering support for the design and execution of various projects from concept through startup.  Successful candidate should have the following skill set:

  • Scope of work and estimate development for Engineering, Design and Construction projects
  • Familiarity with development of P&ID’s, Piping and Mechanical Drawings
  • Development of detailed Bills of Material and RFQ preparation
  • Coordination with other engineering and construction disciplines in regard to civil, structural, electrical and automation/controls
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

A BS in Engineering is required, Mechanical is preferred

2+ Year experience

This is a Houston, TX based full time role in the field of automation engineering and system integration. Scope of duties to include control system design, PLC programming, HMI programming, and support of field commissioning and startup. Candidate must be knowledgeable across multiple PLC and SCADA applications and also familiar with detailed control system design and instrumentation engineering.

Responsibilities and Requirements :

  • Possesses a minimum of 2 years’ experience in the design and programming of various technologies: PLC, HMI, and SCADA applications.
  • Ability to read P&IDs and other engineering documents.
  • Ability and experience programming PLCs in live environments
  • Work both independently and alongside an others as part of an automation commissioning team.
  • Report job activity and maintain detailed logs about work activities, reporting to project managers and executive management.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement of work products and standards.
  • Ability to meet deadlines working on multiple projects and clients with minimum supervision and taking some responsibility for planning and prioritizing tasks.
  • Maintain a high standard of work performance and ensuring that all done is in accordance with the drafting standards of the company and client.

Preferred Education and Experience :

  • Bachelor’s Degree/ Technical Degree preferred, namely in Engineering. Equivalent work experience will also be considered as well as an Associate Degree if meeting all other requirements.
  • 2+ year’s experience in automation design and / or programming.
  • Ability to read and understand: P&IDs, Motor Schematics, control, narratives, I&E plans.

Physical Expectations:

  • Must be able to lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs
  • Must be able to stand, kneel, and walk for long periods of time
  • Must pass background check and be able to pass both a pre-employment & random drug test(s)
  • Must be able to travel up to 75%, including overnight travel to various locations & customer sites to provide service based on business needs
  • Duties performed indoors & outdoors with exposure to weather, elements, heavy equipment, earth excavation, power tools.

Survey Technician I

This position is responsible for plotting deeds for property boundaries and placing easements, boundary analysis based on field located monuments and office calculations, post-processing land survey field-work, drafting of exhibits, plats, & alignment sheets in AutoCAD, some coordination of field personnel, and some project management.

Qualifications: Five years or more of progressive land surveying experience with three years or more office drafting and field-work post-processing experience. Candidates with survey field experience in utility routing are preferred. Candidates with SIT status in the State of Texas are preferred.

Requirements: This position will require the ability to work outside and walk to and from remote locations carrying equipment necessary to perform survey field-work. Applicant needs to be proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D software. Applicant should be able to write legal descriptions for boundaries and easements. Experience scripting macros in MS Excel and using Trimble Pathfinder Office are a plus.

Survey Technician II

This position is responsible for plotting deeds for property boundaries, post processing land survey field-work, and the drafting of exhibits, plats, & alignment sheets in AutoCAD.

Qualifications: One year or more of land surveying experience. Candidates with survey field experience are preferred. Candidates proficient in excel are preferred.

Requirements: This position will also require the ability to work outside and walk to and from remote locations carrying equipment necessary to perform survey field-work. Applicant needs to be proficient in using Microsoft Office software products CAD experience and experience scripting macros in MS Excel are a plus.
