OFFSHORE AUTOMATION ENGINEER
Based in Lafayette, LA or anywhere in the US Gulf Coast

Minimum Experience: 5+ years

Full Time role in the field of automation and controls engineering.  This is a rotating position is for a 14 day-on, 14 day-off in the Gulf of Mexico.  Candidates do not have to regularly report to home office.  Scope of work to include control system design, programming, troubleshooting and field installation.  Candidate must be knowledgeable across multiple PLC and SCADA applications and also familiar with the basics of control system design and instrumentation engineering.

Responsibilities and Requirements:

  • Ability work in an offshore (GOM environment) on a 14/14 rotation
  • Ability to provide detailed hitch notes for handover to peers in similar position
  • Demonstrate of experience in the design and programming of various technologies: PLC, DCS, HMI, and SCADA applications.
  • Ability to read P&IDs and other engineering documents.
  • Ability to specify process instrumentation and recommend control systems designs.
  • Work both independently and alongside an engineering team to develop both high level and detailed design of industrial control systems including.
  • Report job activity and maintain detailed logs about work activities.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement of work products and standards.
  • Ability to meet deadlines working on multiple projects and clients with minimum supervision and taking some responsibility for planning and prioritizing tasks.
  • Maintain a high standard of work performance and ensuring that all done is in accordance with the drafting standards of the company and client.

Education and Experience:

  • Associates and Bachelor’s Degree/Technical Degree preferred, namely in Engineering.  Equivalent work experience will also be considered.
  • 5+ year’s previous experience in Control system design and or programming.
  • Strong computer proficiency required.
  • Ability to read and understand: P&IDs, Motor Schematics, control, narratives, I&E plans.
  • Offshore training: SafeGulf, HUET, TWIC, etc. a plus.

Physical Expectations:

  • Must be able to lift objects weighing up to 50lbs
  • Must be able to stand, kneel, and walk for long periods of time
  • Must have clean background and be able to pass both a pre-employment & random drug test(s)
  • Must be able to travel up to 100%, including overnight travel to offshore platforms
  • Duties performed indoors & outdoors with exposure to weather, elements, heavy equipment, power tools, etc.

AUTOMATION ENGINEER

This is a Houston, TX based full time role in the field of instrumentation, automation and controls engineering. Scope of work to include control system design, programming, and support of field installation. Candidate must be knowledgeable across multiple PLC and SCADA applications and also familiar with detailed control system design and instrumentation engineering.

  • Possesses minimum 2 years’ experience in the design and programming of various technologies: PLC, DCS, HMI, and SCADA applications.

BRANCH OFFICE MANAGER  (Midland, TX)

Due to a rapid growth, PERC is presently looking for an individual who will be interested in starting and managing a branch we are planning to open in Midland, Texas. The candidate will be required to have an engineering degree (PE preferred) with experience in upstream oil and gas production  and / or midstream facilities. The minimum experience required is 15 to 20 years in the industry. We are looking for someone who is motivated and self-starter that will be able to build an office from scratch. This candidate will be able to represent our company with our clients and have good personal skills. The position requires some business development activities as well as occasional trips to our offices.

SURVEY DEPARTMENT  (Fort Worth, TX)

Survey Technician I

This position is responsible for plotting deeds for property boundaries and placing easements, boundary analysis based on field located monuments and office calculations, post-processing land survey field-work, drafting of exhibits, plats, & alignment sheets in AutoCAD, some coordination of field personnel, and some project management.

Qualifications: Five years or more of progressive land surveying experience with three years or more office drafting and field-work post-processing experience. Candidates with survey field experience in utility routing are preferred. Candidates with SIT status in the State of Texas are preferred.

Requirements: This position will require the ability to work outside and walk to and from remote locations carrying equipment necessary to perform survey field-work. Applicant needs to be proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D software. Applicant should be able to write legal descriptions for boundaries and easements. Experience scripting macros in MS Excel and using Trimble Pathfinder Office are a plus.

Survey Technician II

This position is responsible for plotting deeds for property boundaries, post processing land survey field-work, and the drafting of exhibits, plats, & alignment sheets in AutoCAD.

Qualifications: One year or more of land surveying experience. Candidates with survey field experience are preferred. Candidates proficient in excel are preferred.

Requirements: This position will also require the ability to work outside and walk to and from remote locations carrying equipment necessary to perform survey field-work. Applicant needs to be proficient in using Microsoft Office software products CAD experience and experience scripting macros in MS Excel are a plus.
